Much more importantly, today is the day that our friends, the P family, are meeting their newly adopted daughter for the first time. The P's are old friends and neighbors whom we love dearly. Their oldest daughter was Tip's playmate when they were little. When we moved from that house and sent our kids to zone center schools the P's moved out into the country and started home schooling. We really didn't keep in touch very well until recently when we reconnected after learning that both of our families are going through the journey of adoption. Their journey is definitely at a high point right now. Mama P and Papa P and their four kids are in China right now spending their first day with their newest addition. It was such a joy to wake up this morning to see a photo of little L walking down a hallway holding hands with two of her older siblings. We are so grateful for the blessings He has bestowed on this sweet little girl and her FOREVER family!!
We are also full of joy and praise for our friends the D family. The D's are also adopting a little one from the Democratic Republic of Congo and we are using the same adoption agency. It has been such a blessing to have a real-life friend join me in our online Congo adoption community. And I am so grateful that our two little ones will get to grow up with a Congolese friend and playmate right here in Richmond. Just this weekend the D's accepted the referral of a beautiful three year old little girl. She is beyond adorable and has a great big smile! I hope the D's receive more photos in the next few weeks as we expect to - but the photo they do have is such a treasure!
Please join us in praying for the P family as they complete the US immigration process and travel home as a family of seven!! And please pray for the D family as they complete their dossier, begin the courts process in Congo, and continue in their journey towards becoming a family of six! And while you are at it, please pray for us as we finish this last step in the courts process and then move on to the US immigration portion of our adoptions. Thank you!!!

Philippians 4:6-7 Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. The peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
